St. George, Utah (12-21-15) — Steele Canyon and Grossmont College product, 6-foot-9, 210-pound senior forward MARK OGDEN, JR. is making an impact at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah.
The powerful pivot is averaging 11.2 points and 8.9 rebounds per outing for the Red Storm. In his first season at Dixie State he averaged 11 ppg and 6.8 rpg.
Ogden Jr. was named Pacific West Conference co-Defender of the Week after leading the team to a split of two conference road games last week.
Ogden Jr. averaged 15.0 points and 14.0 rebounds in games at No. 10 California Baptist and Point Loma.
He scored a season-high 18 points on 9-of-13 shooting with 11 rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot in the loss at CBU.
Ogden Jr. followed that up with 12 points and a career-high 17 boards, to go with three blocks and an assist, in the Storm’s win at PLNU.
