Norsemen pitching trio shutout Matadors

SPRING VALLEY (4-28-22) – On a day the bats for the Valhalla Norsemen (16-6, 5-0 GVL) scored bunches early they would use a three pitcher committee to procure the 13-0 victory in five innings over the Mount Miguel Matadors (9-6, 2-3 GVL) in Grossmont Valley action. in five innings

Naomi Villalva who would be credited with the win would toss two innings in which she allowed one hit while striking out four, Mckayla Fish would come in and toss two innings in which she also allowed a hit and struck out five, and finally, Savannah Avalos would finish things off with an inning of not allowing a single hit.

Valhalla would scatter 15 hits on the day which included four players each having multiple hits on the day.

The scoring for the Norsemen would start with Aubrielle McKee driving in Bailey Lenz, Villalva followed with an RBI single that scored Marissa Lupo to make it 2-0, a couple of batters later Avery Voth would knock in McKee to make it 3-0. Later with two outs, Maryn Jordan would triple in Bella Moscoso followed by an RBI single by Cadyn Ruffer.

Leading 6-0 in the top of the third inning the Norsemen would add more to their lead when McKee roped an RBI triple scoring Lupo to make it 7-0. In the third inning, Voth and Villalva would drive in runs.

Valhalla would score another pair of runs in the top of the fifth inning to round out their scoring.
