SANTANA 87, FOOTHILLS CHRISTIAN 75 — Imagine that the first victory of the season for the Santana Sultans would come against the Foothills Christian Knights.
Both teams have struggled the season with The Knights coming into the contest with just one victory, as well.
Senior Jacob Ortiz led the way in the fast-paced contest with 27 points and six rebounds.
Sophomore Kaden Heinricy had a big game, as well, finishing with 26 points and six rebounds.
Jeffrey Van Oostende finished with 16 points.
On Monday, the Knights were defeated by the Point Loma Pointers, 62-52. Those same Pointers defeated Santana on Saturday by a score of 62-41 at the same event despite 20 points from Heinricy.
EL CAPITAN 50, VALLEY CENTER 48 — The Vaqueros got the victory against the Jaguars as Trevor Moklestad scored 17 points and had 14 rebounds for El Capitan.
Micah Odell scored 12 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and recorded six steals for El Cap.
El Capitan had to hang on in the waning moments after leading by as many as a dozen points.
Carter Hasting had a pair of big free throws late for the Vaqueros.
The Vaqueros improve to 6-5 on the season. Next up for El Capitan is a matchup versus High Tech San Diego on Thursday night in Lakeside. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
CARLSBAD 105, MOUNT MIGUEL 50 — The Lancers stunned the Matadors with a big number on Tuesday night, putting 11 players in the scoring column.

ROCK ACADEMY 51, LIBERTY CHARTER 37 — The Lions fell to Rock Academy on Monday.
