SANTEE – Braden Oberg and Max Conaway resumed their touchdown parade on Friday night.
The West Hills senior combo connected five times, including a pair of touchdowns as the Wolf Pack improved to 5-0 with a win over the visiting Mount Miguel Matadors in the Grossmont Valley League opener for both teams.
Oberg passed to Conaway for a 29-yard score with 8:53 left in the third quarter to make it 21-0.
The pair also hooked up on a 19-yard strike on the first play of the fourth quarter for the final margin.
Oberg, who also rushed for 32 yards along with a touchdown for the game’s first score, completed seven of his 11 attempts for 111 yards, while Conaway had 88 of the receiving yards.

Conaway had recently missed playing time due to a hampering injury but he appeared at near maximum strength against the Matadors.
West Hills junior Frederick Rowbotham took a pitch from Oberg and had a 72-yard touchdown run to make it 14-0. He finished with 112 yards on just four carries, as the Wolf Pack had nearly 300 yards on the ground.
Collin Dill added a 3-yard rushing touchdown for West Hills (5-0, 1-0 GVL)
Dylan Snyder had three receptions for 41 yards.
Junior Tyler Haley was 5-for-5 on his PATs.

West Hills is averaging 37 points per game this season, as Oberg has passed for 10 touchdowns and rushed for five scores.
Credit several of the Wolf Pack offensive line, including senior Yad Galaly, junior Hunter Weatherby, seniors Trevor Imbimbo and Andrew Engstrom.
Conaway and Snyder have combined for 34 receptions and nine touchdown catches.
Junior Braden Wilson had a sack for the Pack.
Ruben Hernandez had a 62-yard TD with under four minutes to play in the third quarter for Mount Miguel (1-2, 0-1 GVL).
The Matadors rushed for 153 yards behind Hernandez, junior Chris Akridge, and sophomore Davian McGowan.
Jorge Verduzco broke up a pass in the end zone for the Matadors.
West Hills looks to improve to 6-0 and 2-0 in the GVL when they travel to face Valhalla (0-1, 1-4) next Friday.
The Pack’s league schedule culminates late next month with title-determining, back-to-back games at home to end the season against championship rivals Santana and El Capitan.
Mount Miguel will travel to meet another undefeated team in Santee when it faces the Santana Sultans on Friday night.
