BOISE, Idaho – The Noa brothers out of Helix High School — Zeke and Elelyon — held a season-opening college football faceoff against each other Saturday (Oct. 24). Despite strong showings by both former Scotties, the on-field results remained the same for their respective schools.
At Albertsons Stadium in a COVID-19 delayed debut, Boise State quarterback Hank Bachmeier threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns in the Broncos’ 42-13 thumping of the visiting Utah State Aggies.
With the offense marching to a 28-0 halftime lead, Boise Boise State (1-0) carried a shutout deep into the third quarter, with Zeke Noa among the top defenders. The middle linebacker registered a team-best seven tackles (five solo) including one for a loss.

For Utah State (0-1), Elelyon Noa, a freshman running back, collected 18 yards on five carries in his first collegiate outing.
ELELYON NOA LINK:
Boise State remains unbeaten in conference openers this century, last falling in 1999. It was also the Broncos’ 11th straight home-opening triumph.
