The Jets, coming off an impressive, final-minute victory ocer Antelope Valley, looked like they should be moved back into the rankings.
However, less than 24 hours later, No. 4 San Bernardino Valley definitively erased those thoughts after blowing out Miramar, 90-67, in Thursday’s (Jan. 3) semifinals of the Clete Adelman Classic at MiraCosta College.

Neither team the bigger than five points until the final seconds, when Pierce made its foul shots down the stretch.
Tied at 57-all, Brahmas guard Max Edwards hit a go-ahead jumper with 58 seconds remaining, then after a City miss, Anthony McIntyre scored inside for a 61-57 advantage with 28 seconds left. McIntyre also converted a pair of foul shots with 19 to go for a 6-point lead — the largest by either side.
McIntyre finished with 23 points, while Edward finished with 15 to lead the Brahmas. They also received 10 rebounds from Kevin Fassu.
