EL CAJON – Valhalla won the last two games to defeat El Capitan (12-3) in four, 25-19, 19-25, 25-12, 25-16, Tuesday night at the Thunderdome.
Junior Maiya Lopez drove home 15 kills and added 13 digs for the Norse (9-6), while senior teammate Tiare Spitz-Johnson added nine winners and sophomore Hailey Wilson hit home eight kills.
Valhalla senior Cameron Douma had 24 digs, while teammate Brittney Beltz, a senior, had 11 digs and 45 assists.
Meanwhile, West Hills defeated Helix (7-2), 17-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-17, as Willow Godshalk had 8 Kills, while Grace Downing added 11. Samantha Fortin had 40 assists for the Wolf Pack (11-5).
Granite Hills defeated Mount Miguel (6-8), 25-15, 25-15, 25-23, as Lauren Komp had 10 kills for the Eagles, while teammate Gillian Wedge added 8.
The Eagles’ Kylee Snyder had 15 Assists, while Sarah Ralston had 22 digs. Kaylie Sperry added 3 blocks for Granite Hills (14-9).
Steele Canyon defeated El Cajon Valley, 25-3, 25-4, 25-5, as senior Lizzy Bagdasar had four kills, while teammates Ashley Whipple and Katelynn Caserma-Kloebe added three kills each.
Senior Tyler Sinkovich had seven aces, while teammates Cierra Heiser, Heather Murphy and Julia Pedrin added five aces apiece.
Steele Canyon’s Gabi Gandolfo had eight digs, while Murphy had six assists and Chloe Gould added five assists.
