SO CAL HIGH SCHOOL CLASSIC
SANTANA 1, EC SOUTHWEST 0
A day after tying Fallbrook in the SO CAL CLASSIC the Sultans took on the Eagles of El Centro Southwest and were able to knock them off.
Both squads went back and forth in the first half but the Sultans would finally break through as Omar Nuristani was able to put one in the back of the net with an assist from Garrett Derosiers.
The goal by Nuristani would be the difference as the defense for the Sultans denied the Eagles which included seven big saves from Tim Caravero to preserve the shutout victory.
Nuristani on the year with his goal now has 12 which leads the team.
The victory now pushes the Sultans record to 6-3-3 overall on the season and they will next take on Yorba Linda in the semi-finals to be play at Oceanside High School on Thursday at 6:30 pm.
