Meanwhile, full-time sophomore hooper MAURICE HOLMES had seven of his nine points in the first quarter and also brought down seven boards.
Senior AMARI GREEN had seven rebounds and four assists for the Highlanders. Helix sophomore DELSHAWN TRAYLOR, also a football team member who played behind Baker this season at QB, canned a three in the third period.
“We rebounded well defensively and pushed the ball in transition,” Helix coach BRENNAN CASSADY said. “we are going a better job defending, rebounding and sharing the ball.”
Helix (5-2) will face Crawford on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Sweetwater Tournament.
