EL CAJON – Grossmont College sophomore KYRA BRUESEWITZ, a sophomore from Reno, Nev., knocked down a Grossmont College-record 11 three-point field goals Friday night in the Griffins’ 123-26 season-opening win over visiting Copper Mountain.
Bruesewitz attempted 18 three-pointers in the contest and finished with 37 points.
The sharp-shooter average 2 1/2 threes last season and 10.5 points per game.

Continuously feeding the hot shooter, as well as, the other Griffins, was guard NATALIA DEL BENE, who had 13 assists.
Sophomore BRITTANY GAFARE came off the bench to score 19 points on 9-of-11 shootings.
Grossmont’s ANNABASIA OLAOGUN was 4-for-4 from downtown en route to 14 points.
Grossmont will compete at the Riverside Tournament next weekend, starting Friday.
