SAN DIEGO – Christian High’s specially designed uniforms for the Honor Bowl had stars and stripes adorning their shoulder pads giving the team an All-American look.
And the Patriots gave an All-American performance Friday afternoon at Cathedral Catholic High School against smaller Boron High from the Mohave Desert in an overwhelming 62-6 victory in the first game of the weekend series which supports efforts to help America’s military veterans.
BRAD JEREMIAH (3) on the sidelines Friday afternoon.

The Patriots certainly played with no malice. They are just well-tuned early even for comparable defensive units.
Christian’s defense forced two turnovers and held the Bobcats to 120 yards of total offense.
Boron scored a touchdown with nine minutes left in the game.
Jeremiah was 30-of-38 for 383 yards on the day.

After Jeremiah connected with Richardson for a 12-yard TD pass, BRYCE RIEPL scooped up a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and returned it 30 yards for TD and just like that the Patriots led 14-0 with 8:25 left in the opening quarter.
“It was a great game,” said, Jeremiah, who was named his team’s Honor Bowl MVP. “We all just worked together and had a bunch of fun. We have a bunch of options (at receiver) and all of them are really good.
“We’re really young. We only have two receivers that are seniors. We’re just going to work harder with a better mentality and go get it.”
Carter scored on a 27-yard TD run and Armijo scored on an 11-yard TD run.
The entire fourth quarter was played with a running clock because Christian led by more than 35 points.
