PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Former Grossmont High standout Calvin Farris recorded his first collegiate victory on Saturday as Brown University rallied to beat the Georgetown Hoyas, 11-10, scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to secure the win.
Farris, a freshman Pitcher/OF has appeared in 10 games for the Brown Bears with 5 relief stints, including a scoreless eighth inning versus 12th-ranked Texas A&M on March 12th.
Brown is 6-6 on the season, and open Ivy League play April 1 with a doubleheader at Cornell.
