SAN DIEGO (1-10-17) — Three West Hills players spun double-doubles and the Wolf Pack connected on 12 for 12 free throws against Rancho Bernardo in Monday’s (Jan. 9) third-place game of the Del Norte Tournament won by the Broncos, 62-57.
“We were up 10 points in the third quarter,” said Wolf Pack assistant coach TIM BARRY. “But we couldn’t hold on as JJ Overton dumped in 21 points.
“Our post play was actually pretty good,” he added. “But it wasn’t good enough to pull out a win.”
MARQUELL COOL paced the Pack with 20 points, CAMERON BARRY tossed in 14 and NATHAN BALL chipped in with 14 as well.
“We were pretty solid in the post but it wasn’t enough to turn the game around,” said Coach Barry.
West Hills will next play at Westview on Tuesday (Jan. 10) at 7 p.m.
West Hills: Marquell Cool 20, Cameron Barry 14, Nathan Ball 14, Chris Moyer 9.
