EL CAJON (10-5-16) — After winning for the fourth time in five starts Grossmont College has climbed into the No. 11 spot in the state JC Athletic Bureau Poll of California Community College Football Coaches.
The Griffins, who will draw a bye this week, are rated No. 6 in the National Southern Division.
In last week’s 49-27 victory over College of the Canyons wide receiver ADRIAN TOLBERT and defensive lineman QUANTARIUS BOONE received honorable mention for their performances in the game.
The Griffins will take on No. 4 Fullerton in Orange County on Saturday (Oct. 15) in an opening league game. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. at Yorba Linda High School in the Hornets’ homecoming game.
