FLETCHER HILLS – A solid effort by a trio of Grossmont College pitchers went to waste against four-time defending PCAC champion Palomar… In an ugly day by nearly all OCAC schools, The Griffins committed an unsightly five erros, leading to four unearned run, as Grossmont dropped into third place after falling to the visiting Comets… Second place now belongs to Southwestern, which committed three errors of its own, but San Diego City dropped the ball four timesin a frightful 10-6 final… Meanwhile, the first PCAC team to fall in Imperial County was San Diego Mesa, 12-10, despite six errors by host Imperial Valley.

FLETCHER HILLS — You thought baseball was bad on Tuesday (Mar. 24) (se above), softball was even more hideous… San Diego City (5) and Grossmont College (6) combined for 11 errors as both ballclubs looked completely lost… Mariah Mata and Katelynne Parent each had 2 RRBI, but the Knights answered with seven runs in the seventh inning to win.
