Cuyamaca golfer places fifth at state

Women
NIPOMO – Cuyamaca College sophomore Kiana Glossner finished in a tie for fifth place at the 3C2A community college state championships, held at Monarch Dunes Golf Course (located 4 hours north of the Golden Gate Bridge along State Highway 1). RESULTS
Glosner, a product out of Scripps Ranch HS, came back from the middle of the back folowing a first-round score of 80 to finish wth a 74 to slide past 20 others for her Top 5 finish.
As a team, the Coyotes finished in seventh placein the state. The team championship went to Mt. San Antonio College.
The individual medalist was Sahya Kitabatake from College of the Canyons (located one freeway exit from Magic Mountain in Valencia).
While at Scripps Ranch, Grosswner once fijished second to Falcons teammate Rubee Pandit in the San Diego City Conference match play championships.
Men
LOMPOC- Cuyamaca College opens the Spring 025 season by finishing exactly in the middle of a 13-team field, placing seventh at the Pt. Conception Open, hosted by Ventura College at La Purisma Golf Club.
The Coyotes finished with a 2-day score of 855. College of the Canyons won the event with 780, followed by the host Pirates at 808.
The individual medalist was Chase Foster of Fresno at 151, one stroke better than Cory Rose of Victor Valley.
The top member of the Coyotes was Taiki Marsh (82-78-160), a product of Torrey Pines HS.
While with the Falcons, he was among the Falcons medalists to help the school place second atthe CIF Southern California championships in 2023.
Geammate Colin Li became the first CIF San Diego Section player to capture the individual championship.
Marsh also earned a second team berth on the all-CIF San Diego Secttion team.
