FLETCHER HILLS – The Grossmont College women’s basketball team limited MiraCosta to a mere to points over an incredub le span of 11 minutes, 28 seconds, building a 41-10 cushion to spank the Spartans in Wednesday’s (Feb. 6) Pacific Coast Athletic Conference action.
The span suffered by NiraCosta is believed to be the school’s poorest since San Diego Mesa blanked the Spartans over a periuod of 12:39 in the early 1980s in a non-conference game played prior to the creation of the PCAC.
The Griffins (19-4 overall) mountrf s 30-5 lead before MiraCosta hit a 3-point shot ith 2:03 left in the firsy qyarter.
The Spartans then only scored a single nucketr in the second quarter, as Grossmont went up 41-10 before MiraCosta sscored again. PLAY-BY-PLAY
For the Griffins, Janea Wilson was the primary scorer, nearly out-scoring MiraCosta single-handily with 22 points.

The bench of the G-House also posted a massive game, including 18 points from Charlie Dagnino (Palo Verde Valley HS), who shot 8-for-12 from the field (6-of-7 frpm inside the arc).
Dagnino, a freshman, equaled a career-high for points, first set in the season opener against El Camino College.
