Men’s Basketball
RANCHO SAN DIEGO – Cuyamaca College continues its season-long trend of defeating opponents with sub-.500 records, but falling to those above the break-even mark.
On Saturday (Dec, 28) in the host Coyotes fell to Antelope Valley, 58-40, in the Cuyamaca Classic.
The Marauders (7-5 overall) held Cuyamaca to a season-low 40 points, lower then the previous mark of 46.against Cypress on Dec. 13.
On Sunday(Dec. 29), East Los Angeles downed Cuyamaca, 78-50, advancing the Huskies to Monday’s championship contest in the round-robin event.
Individual statistics were not provided by Coyotes management.
Finally on Monday (Dec. 30),the de facto championshiup contest went to East L.A., 84-69, over Antelope Valley.
The third place contest went to PCAC rival San Diego Mesa, which raced to an easy 25-point victory,67-42.
