FRESNO –Tournament splits continue to mount for the Grossmont College women’s volleyball team.
Following a 1-1 record at last week’s Pasadena City College Tournament, the Griffins split over both days of the CCCAA North vs.South Showcase, held at Fresno City College.
On Day 1 (Fri., Aug. 30), , Grossmont dominated state power Feather River College, 3-0
However, the Griffins then fell in three straight to Sierra College.
Saturday’s (Aug. 31) matches resulted in similar results.
Facing the host Rams, Grossmont took a 3-1 decision, taking the final set by a resounding count of 25-11.
However, the nightcap went to San Joaquin Delta College of Stockton, also by a 3-1 margin.
