SAN MARCOS — PCAC leading Palomar suffered its first conference loss after going 16-0, as Grossmont College scored 16 times to out-pace the Comets, 16-11.
The Griffins expanded a 4-2 lead by scoring five times in the fourth inning in a gate-to-wire victory.
Griffins cneterf ielder Hayden Tregidga batted 4-for-6 with six RBI and four runs scored. Also registering three RBI were first baseman M.J. weeney and left fielder Jacob Embleton.
Among their hits, Tregidga and Sweeney had two home runs each.
