SACRAMENTO – First-year pitcher Gracie Johnston (Grossmont College) has earned the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) Player and Pitcher of the Week honors.
Johnston earned the first win for a Grossmont College program just returning to the field since the COVID-19 lockdown occurred. The first-year pitcher took a no-hitter into the seventh inning against College of the Desert, striking out 10 in the Griffins’ 1-0 win.
Johnston is a freshman out of Santana High School in Santee.
