BAKERSFIELD – The Granite Hills made history under head coach Jesse Shearer as 2 Eagles performed in the CIF Wrestling Tournament that was held in Bakersfield as Stanford Cardinal bound Collin Guffey claimed the CIF Title at 165 pounds and teammate Abram Cline finished in 3rd place as he defeated Roman Loya from Rim of the World by a 19-6 score.
Collin Guffey became the first state champion since the last state champ was in the late 80s.
