Griffins football forfeits to Fullerton

FULLERTON – For hat is believed to be the first time in school history, the Grossmont College football team forfeited a contest, not playing Saturday’s (Oct. 28)road game at Fullerton College.
Although other ballclubs have forfeited to Grossmont– most recently, Compton College – this would be the first cancellation by the Griffins since the program started in 1962 – a span of 60 seasons.
As of Monday morning, websites for both Grossmont College and Fullerton College did not announce the forfeit, but the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) state website did on its scoreboard oage.
No announcement onthe official reason for the cancellation was offered.
