COLLEGE GROVE – The CIF-San Diego Section has announced its Scholar-Athletes f the Year, covering the Fall Sports season. The awards are sponsored by Mission Federal Credit Union.
Among the 16 winners, five hail from the East County — including a pair out of Borrego Springs High — while a sixth is from the west side of Cowles Mountain.
No details were provided explaining why each recipient was chosen.
