ECS staff report
IMPERIAL — No offense, but the offense for Grossmont College can be really offensive at times — in a good way.
The Griffins tallied 127 points — the most in the 21st Century and believed to be a school record — in a 127-60 dismantling of host Imperial Valley Colleg in Pacific Coast Atheltic Conference action held Wednesday (Jan. 4) at the DiPaoli Sports Complex.
The point total is the second-most in California this season and the most against a community college opponent. The season-high is the 142 points scored by Moorpark in a romp over California Miramar University, 142-60, at a tournament held at San Bernardino Valley. on Nov. 12.
No game details were offered by the IVC staff; the IV Press newspaper did not cover the contest; GC was traveling from the Imperial Valley at press time.
