From staff and wire reports
BOISE, Idaho — The Mountain West Conference announced that Boise State University, the regular season football champion in the MWC, will host the conference championship game, hosting Fresno State for the second time this season.
The title game is set for Sat., Dec. 5, starting at 2 pm. PT.
The Broncos (8-3 overall) can complete a perfect MWC slate this Friday, hosting Utah State in attempting to sweep all right contests.
In the first meeting with Fresno State, sixth-year linebacker Ezekiel “Zeke” Noa — an alum of Helix High and a rare two-time All-East County Defensive Player of the Year — made Broncos history.
In a 40-20 triumph over the Bulldogs, Noa was credited with six tackles, two for a loss, with an interception, a sack and a forced fumble.
With the performance, Noa is just the sixth Boise State player since 2000 to have an interception, a sack and force a fumble, and the first since Kekaula Kaniho in the 2017 Vegas Bowl..
The victory allowed Boise State to maintain control of The Milk Can,the perpetual trophy between the schools.
