LAKESIDE — On Sunday (July 31), the the El Capitan High School football programs — both varsity and underclassmen squads — competed in the annual Vaqueros Run through the Old Town portion of Lakeside along Maine Avenue.

El Capitan opens its football season on Fri., Aug. 19, hosting Canyon Hills (formerly Serra) at El Cap Stadium.
