From staff and wire reports
LA PUENTE —- The undefeated San Diego Christian College women’s basketball is beginning to make strides into the school’s record book.
On Friday (Nov. 13), the Hawks registered their highest point total on the road in eight seasons, vanquishing host Bethesda University of California, 85-37, at Warrior Gymnasium at La Puente High School.
SDCC, unbeaten in three starts, parlayed a 20-2 run in the second quarter to the easy decision.
Four of the five Hawks starters scored in double figures, led by 22 points from forward Jamee Joseph. She was followed by Isabel Feller (19 points), Sammi LeMay-Zambrano (14) and Courtney Cranston (10).
Joseph also led the way with nine rebounds. Meanwhile, Martina Toma, a transfer guard from Grossmont College, came off thr bench to add three assists and a pair of steals.
Very pleased with tonight’s effort as we won 85-37 on the road! Shot 46% from 3 & 41% overall w only 5 turnovers. Jamee Joseph led us w 22pts 11-18 & Izzy Feller added 19. 3-0 to start the season. Blessed to be playing #TalonsUp #FocusUp @SDCWBB

The previous best on the road was actually three years ago, but it was a neutral site contest in Arizona, when the Hawks buried Saint Katherine, 89-55, on Dec. 9, 2017. Otherwise, one needs to go back to Jan. 22, 2013, for a 96-52 thumping which occurred on the very same Arizona Christian court in downing the host Firestorm.
San Diego Christian next meets host Saint Katherine on Thurs., Nov. 19, starting at 5 p.m. at Edenpark Center in San Marcos.
