LAKESIDE – El Capitan picked up a 3-1 win over Valley Center as junior Zach Mayhew threw a complete-game three-hitter.
Senior Jake Pfitzner hit a two-run home run for the Vaqueros.
Jake Bergherm had two hits and drove in a run for El Capitan.
Mayhew walked one and struck out four. The run was unearned.
