LEMON GROVE – The Liberty Charter Lions figured to have its biggest home game of the season on Thursday when they hosted O’Farrell Charter.
Unfortunately for the Lions, the Falcons got the best of the Liberty, 68-58, to take over first place in the Summit League.
Liberty Charter cut the lead to seven later, but O’Farrell led 65-54 with two minutes to go
O’Farrell (14-4, 3-0 Summit) led 53-41 at the end of the third period.
Liberty Charter opened the second half with an 8-0 run to close the lead to 45-36 with 5:40 remaining in the third.
The Falcons, which led 23-18 at the end of one quarter, closed the first half on a 14-5 run.
