Giganti equaled a CIF San Diego Section record by belting three home runs in one game in an 8-0 whitewash of Olympians. All three of her blows went to right field.
WEEK 2
Jessica “J.J.” Venzor, Steele Canyon
Senior, Shortstop
Venzor’s bat and glove lifted the Cougars to a pair of victories at the Hilltop Tournament. She batted .625 (5-for-8). Against pool host Olympian, she had three hits, including a home run and a double for two RBI, then against Clairemont, she went 2-for-4 with a double with an RBI. For the season, Venzor is batting an even ,500, with an on-base percentage of .610.
