LA VERNE (2-21-2019) — San Diego Christian College started to play a seriers of rain make-up ballgames Wednesday (Feb. 20), gaining a road split at La Verne.
The host Leopards took a 4-3 walk-off decision in the opener, but the Hawks (5-3 overall) rebounded to easily claim the nightcap, 10-4.

Potts led the Hawks with two hits and two RBI. Game 2 was much more favorable for the Hawks, who scored two runs in the first, four in the second and a run in the third.
The Hawks scored their seven runs off of just two hits, yet were bolstered on a pair of La Verne errors and a bases-loaded walk.
San Diego Christian added single runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh. La Verne committed four errors and outhit the Hawks. Potts tallied two more hits, while Noemi Farfan earned the pitching win.
The Hawks open Golden State Athletic Conference play Tuesday (Feb. 26) at 9th-ranked Hope International in Fullerton.
