WEST HILLS 39, GROSSMONT 32
SANTEE – West Hills senior MICHAEL TOTAH had 15 points, including four three-pointers, and sophomore teammate KYLE DOBYNS had 10 points and eight rebounds to spur the Wolf Pack to a 38-32 Grossmont Hills League victory over visiting Grossmont on Friday night.
“Hard effort tonight especially in the second half,” West Hills coach ELIAS TOTAH said. “Did what we had to do on the defensive end to succeed in this one.
“Senior guard Michael Totah (two steals) gave us a huge boost. He just does so many different things on both ends in unique fashion. He showed his worth tonight. Might have been the shoes he was wearing.
The Pack improved to 11-10 on the season and 1-3 in Grossmont Hills League play.
“Percentages weren’t great but we battled,” Elias Totah said. “There was no way we were coming out of this one with an ‘L.’”
EL CAPITAN 51, MONTE VISTA 40 – Junior JACOB PFITZNER scored 20 points to lead El Capitan to a Grossmont Valley League win over the visiting Monarchs.
JAQORI HARRIS and HARRISON MORTON both added 10 points for El Capitan, which scored the first 10 points of the game.
