SPRING VALLEY – Mount Miguel senior MIKEECE DUNBAR did what future opponents didn’t necessarily want to see.
Dunbar displayed his three-point prowess on Saturday against Serra High, making five triples on his way to 18 points in a 53-52 home win over Serra on Saturday.
Matador senior star MARQUISE EDWARDS led the way with 26 points, including 11 in the first quarter.
But it was Dunbar’s back-to-back threes out-of-the-chute in the third quarter that turned Mount Miguel’s 28-24 deficit into a lead.
Edwards had seven points fourth quarter and Dunbar added his final three-pointer in the period.
“ur game plan was to stop No. 5,” Edwards said. “We knew he can dribble and penetrate and create for others and we started off slow. Serra is a solid team but we got it done on the defensive end and we got the ‘W’.”
I would thank coach jay coach Marcellous coach t girls basketball coach and coach Nate my travel ball coach and my teammates without them I wouldn’t be doing this
