The triumph guaranteed a season-series victory for the Jaguars, which also defeated at Comets at the Palomar Tournament on Nov. 24.
Southwestern freshman guard Marq Stephens had a game-high 25 points to lead a quintet of Jaguars (11-4) in double digits in a night of outstanding shooting (56.9 percent) while limiting Palomar (5-7) to just 47 percent from the floor.
Four Comets reached double digits in scoring, led by Marek Sullivan and Jacob Camargo who each had 12 points.
Southwestern will return to action Saturday, Jan. 5th at 2nd-ranked Mt. San Jacinto in another Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Crossover game. Palomar will hit the court again the final weekend of the year as they participate in the Allan Hancock Holiday Classic, Dec. 28-30, in Santa Maria.
The two teams will meet for the third time this season at Palomar Dome in San Marcos on Wednesday, Jan. 9th
