PORTLAND (11-12-2018) – The San Diego Christian College women’s basketball suffered its first setback of the season Monday (Nov. 11), falling to Multnomah University, 65-49, at Jim Skagen Court.
The Multnomah University women’s basketball team picked up the solid win over the visiting NAIA opponent from Santee to improve to 4-2 on the season.

GAME SUMMARY:
- The Lions jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead before ending the first quarter up 13-9.
- MU opened the game up in the second quarter, using a 15-9 run to break away from the Hawks with a 13-point lead after the first half.
- The Lions shot well throughout the night, finishing with a shooting percentage of 42 percent while defensively, holding San Diego Christian to a mark of 24 percent.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Sequoia Wheeler led the Lions offensively, finishing with 27 points, going 10-for-20 from the field. Behind her was Bethany George with 17 points and Alaygza Portis with 13 points.
- Paris Sanders finished with 10 rebounds and Kayla Alvarez dished out six assists on the day.
