(10) High Tech CV (18-10) at (6) Santana (18-8) – The Sultans upset third-seeded West Shores of Salton City, 3-1, in the quarters to reach this Final Four match. High Tech CV also pulled off the upset, winning at cross-town rival Hilltop, 3-1.
Hilltop was the undefeated champions of the Metro-South Bay League.
The winner will face the survivor of the match between High Tech SD and Ocean View Christian
Division 2
(3) Classical Academy (26-14) at (2) El Capitan (27-11) – The El Capitan Lady Vaqueros swept Grossmont on Saturday to gain a berth in Wednesday’s semifinals.
Classical has already defeated Steele Canyon and Valhalla.
The Caimens defeated the Lady Norsemen last Saturday in the quarterfinals in four games despite eight kills from Valhalla seniors ANGIE ORANGE and NINA FOLZ.
The winner will play either Sage Creek (33-7) or Patrick Henry (22-13) in a match at the Patriots’ gym.
In other results on Saturday, Monte Vista was eliminated by San Ysidro.
