LA MESA – The District 41 Little League Baseball 11-12 All-Stars double elimination tournament begins tonight (Saturday, June 30) at Fletcher Hills and Cajon de Oro Little League.
Eight teams advanced from pool play to compete for a spot at the Little League Baseball Section 7 tournament, including defending district champion CDO, which went 3-0 in pool play.
Site host Cajon de Oro will face El Cajon National at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Prior to that game at CDO, Alpine American, which also went 3-0 in pool play after a 2-0 win over Rios Canyon on Thursday, will face Lakeside National at 3 p.m.
Lakeside National earned its spot with a 12-2 win over Santee Pioneer on Thursday evening.
Over at Fletcher Hills, FHLL will host Singing Hills at 6 p.m.
Singing Hills was the only team in the two three-team pools to finish 2-0, while Fletcher Hills won the district title two years ago.
Before that contest, Pool C winner Rancho San Diego will meet West Hills Little League at 3 p.m. RSD has won the most district titles this decade, capturing four of the eight tournaments since 2010, including three-straight from 2013-15.
District 41 hasn’t won at the section championships since Alpine American captured that banner in 2007.

San Carlos Little League has advanced to the winner’s bracket final at the District 33 double-elimination 11-12 All-Stars tournament after a 15-4 win over Rolando at Serra Mesa Little League on Friday evening.
