CHRISTIAN 4, OLP 1
The Patriots behind stellar pitching and offense were able to bolster their playoff position with the big win over the Pilots.
Christian pushed across a run in the top of the first inning on a solo blast by Shannon McMahon (3-3, 3 RBI, 2B, HR) to make it 1-0.
They would add to their lead in the top of the third inning as Ashley Carter (1-3, R, SB) singled, stole second and scored on a double by McMahon, Audrey Shebloski (1-3, RBI) followed with a single to score McMahon which made it 3-0.
The Pilots got on the board with what would be their only run of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning on a single and double to cut the Patriot’s lead 3-1.
Christian would tack on their final run in the top of the fifth inning on an RBI single by McMahon that brought in Lauren Sherburne (1-3, R, 2B) who led off with a single and stole second base.
The Patriots took advantage of all eight hits they procured on the day as they all led to runs. With the win they will now head into the playoffs in Division II after being in Division III last season where they captured the CIF Championship.

SCRIPPS RANCH 16, PATRICK HENRY 2
It just wasn’t the Patriots day as they could only muster two runs as the Falcons took advantage of numerous opportunities on the day to push across sixteen runs.
Patrick Henry would score what ended up being their only two runs on the day in the second inning as both H. Jenks and Lauren Nett both walked and would later come into score to cut the Falcons lead 4-2.
Unfortunately, the Falcons would explode for seven runs in their half of the fourth inning to put the game out of reach as they shut down the Patriots the rest of the way.
With the win, the Falcons finish in second place while the Patriots will finish in a tie for third with University City.
