GROSSMONT 11, EL CAPITAN 0
In a Cinco de Mayo matchup the Foothillers roll offensively by taking advantage of opportunities to grab the win.
Grossmont started things in the bottom of the second as Candace Henderson drove in Juliana Garcia with a double and Aly Allman came into score on the throw to make it 2-0. A couple batters later Kimmy Bond singled to score Henderson and Katie Appenzeller drove in two with a single to make it 5-0.
For the Vaqueros in the top of the third inning Brooklyn Fukushima singled but unfortunately wouldn’t be advanced.

Another run for the Foothillers in the bottom of the fourth on a double by Roope that brought Appenzeller home made it 7-0.
The lead would be pushed to 9-0 in the bottom of the fifth as Appenzeller drove in both Rainee Foster and Garcia.
El Capitan in the top of the sixth would actually load the bases as Brandy Taylor reached on an error and Olivia Martinez and Kylie Mead drew consecutive walks. However Roope retired the next batter to end the threat and inning. Prior to the sixth Katie Collier roped a two out double in the fifth but would be stranded.
Grossmont rounded out their scoring in the bottom of the sixth on a two run blast by Allmann to make it 11-0.
