CITY-EASTERN LEAGUE
OLP 7, CHRISTIAN 4
The Pilots score four runs late to procure the victory over the Patriots on Friday in City League play.
OLP was able to take advantage of their opportunities in the top of the second and third innings as they pushed across three runs to lead 3-0.
However the Patriots strung together consecutive hits starting with a single by Silent Rain Espinoza (2-4, 2R), Shannon McMahon (1-4, R, 3B) would drive her in as she roped a triple and Audrey Shebloski (3-3, RBI, 2 2B) laced a double to score McMahon to bring Christian within 3-2.
Trailing by one run in the bottom of the fifth the Patriots would actually take the lead as Lauren Sherburne (1-3, R, SB) led off with a single and stole second and came into score on a base hit by Espinoza who also would score to give Christian a 4-3 lead.
Unfortunately for Christian, the Pilots wouldn’t go down without a fight and in the top of the sixth inning were able to take the lead for good as they scored four runs.
