WEST TORRANCE 10, CHRISTIAN 4
Coming off their big win the previous day against Etiwanda the Patriots looked to continue their momentum against the warriors.
Unfortunately, the Warriors would strike first with a couple of runs in the bottom of the first to lead 2-0. However Christian in the top of the second inning got it going as they were able to take the lead with four runs.
With two outs Devyn Krystek walked, Elle Lindblad reached on an error and Lauren Sherburne smashed a three-run home run which was followed by a Silent Rain Espinoza solo shot to make it 4-2.
The two-run lead wouldn’t last for the Patriots as the Warriors buckled down and limited Christian to only three hits on the day and scored eight runs over the next five innings to procure the victory.
CHRISTIAN 8, SAN BENITO 7
In quite the dramatic fashion with two outs, the Patriots won on a walk-off base hit by Devyn Krystek to score Mallory Steele which was preceded by Shannon McMahon laying down a squeeze to score Silent Rain Espinoza to tie the game.
