HELIX 2, EL CAPITAN 2 – The Vaqueros earned a draw against the higher-rated Highlanders.
El Capitan held a 2-1 lead in the second half, but Helix got the equalizer.
The Vaqueros are now 5-3-2 and kept their slim Grossmont Valley League title hopes alive.
With the draw, Helix is now 5-0-3, good for second place in the league, a half-game out of first.
VALHALLA 1, GRANITE HILLS 0 – Senior RAEMI DE WENT scored for the Lady Norsemen on an assist from ARIANA RODRIGUEZ.
Senior goalie KATELYN DE WENT earned the shutout for Valhalla, which kept its slim Grossmont Hills League title hopes alive.
STEELE CANYON 1, WEST HILLS 1 – The Wolf Pack edged closer to the Grossmont Hills League title with a draw over visiting Steele Canyon.
West Hills sits atop the league table with a 4-0-3 record.
Steele Canyon is in third place in the league with a 2-2-3 mark.
CHRISTIAN 2, UNIVERSITY CITY 0 – The Patriots earned the shutout supported by goals in each half.
Junior LAUREN SHERBURNE and sophomore KAITLYN MCHORNEY scored for the Patriots.
Christian improved to 4-3-1 in the Eastern League and 14-5-2 overall.
EL CAJON VALLEY 2, MOUNT MIGUEL 1 – The Braves picked up their second Grossmont Valley League win of the season, knocking off the visiting Matadors.
