FOOTHILLS CHRISTIAN 55, CALVARY CHRISTIAN 31 – The Knights got 30 points from sophomore ELLIE TURK in a non-league win at Spring Valley Rec Center.
Foothills Christian built a nice halftime lead of 25-19, but really surged in the third quarter, building a more than 20-point lead late in the quarter, putting up 22 points in the third.
Turk also had 10 steals, eight assists and five rebounds.
Junior EMYROSE ANCHO added eight points for FCHS, while senior teammate JANELLE RODRIGUEZ hauled down 16 rebounds and senior MAKAYLA BROWN grabbed nine boards.
The Knights (4-8) will compete in the MLK Showcase against Desert Christian Academy (13-2), of Bermuda Dunes, at Christian High School on Saturday, January 13 at 1 p.m.
