SANTEE (1-10- 2018) – The West Hills Wolf Pack, in their second home game of the week were looking to win their second game in a row and were able to do so successfully, 70-61, over the visiting Escondido Cougars on Wednesday.
West Hills with the victory definitely has it’s mojo in tact.
Escondido (8-8) coming into the contest was hoping to stay at the .500 mark, but its mission failed.
West Hills led the whole game, starting with the first quarter of play, up only 3 at the end of the first, 17-14, then took ownership of the Cougar court, 41-29, as they led the scoring 24-15 in the second quarter.
“The first half was the best half of basketball we played all year,” said coach TIM BARRY, of West Hills. “A great team effort this evening.”
Once again the Wolf Pack was led by leading scorer CAM BARRY, who had 44 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
Chiming in as his teammate, sophomore CADE RALEY, hitting 4-of-6 from the FT line and 3-three-pointers.
With the victory the Wolf Pack have now won two in a row and six of their last seven contests.
The Wolf Pack (8-5) will host their Grossmont Hills league opener at home versus Steele Canyon (6-3), who also has great shooting capabilities.
The tip-off will be 7:00 pm, this Friday the 12th.
It should be one of the best regular season meetings in the East County.
