EL CAJON (3-26-17) — Christian High rolled their record to 7-1 behind the pitching of LUKE RYNKOFS and ALONZO RICHARDSON as the Patriots blanked host Steele Canyon 7-0 Saturday (Mar. 25) in a non-league shuffle against Steele Canyon.
The Patriots wasted little time launching their offense as ZACH HOGUEISSON led off the 1st inning with his 5th home run of the season, which leads the county.
Hogueisson finished 2-for-2 with 2 RBI, while JUSTIN LEDGERWOOD doubled in a run and sacrificed another as the Patriots pulled away.
BRADLEY JEREMIAH was 2-for-3 with a run scored as Christian finished with a 9-hit attack against three Steele Canyon pitchers.
Steele Canyon was limited to five singles in the loss.
CHULA VISTA 4, MONTE VISTA 0 – The Monarchs had trouble making contact against Chula Vista, which spoiled the complete game pitching of FRANCISCO GUTIERREZ in Saturday’s (Mar. 25) non-league action in Spring Valley.
ANDREW GONZALES, who is wielding a hot stick at the moment was 2-for-2.
