Braves rally in season opener at Orange Glen

ESCONDIDO – The El Cajon Valley Braves scored one run in the sixth and two in the seventh to overcome a 3-1 deficit and defeat the Orange Glen Patriots on Monday in a nonleague contest.
The host Patriots scored two in the first and one in the third before the Braves would answer with a run in the top of the fourth.
El Cajon Valley had five hits in the contest, while the Patriots had seven hits.
The teams combined for seven errors, with the Braves making four.
ECV kept Orange Glen (0-2) off the scoreboard over the final four innings, including turning a critical double play.
Sophomore SEBASTIAN SANCHEZ threw a complete game, striking out six.
The Braves aren’t scheduled to take the field against until March 20 when they travel to face High Tech Chula Vista.
