EL CAJON (7-24-16) — Grossmont College defensive end ANTHONY DAVIS will skip his sophomore year to accept a scholarship to Southeastern Missouri in Hammond, MO.
The 6-foot-2, 270 pound lineman, a graduate of University City High, is a 2017 full qualifier.
Meanwhile, Hastings College of Hastings, NE has signed four local football players.
At the top of the pack is ADRIAN PETTY of Christian High who rushed for 1,175 yards last season.
Sophomore wide receiver JORDAN JOHNSON of Steele Canyon will also attend Hastings College, as will Mount Miguel linebacker DURAN MILLER, and quarterback TYLER HOPPER of Granite Hills.
Three Inlanders will vie for playing time at NAIA Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA.
Running back NOAH YLAGAN, a graduate of West Hills High, E.J. GARCIA, a redshirt defensive lineman, also of West Hills and Grossmont College, joins the flock along with RAHSHAUN SHARPE, a freshman running back from Valhalla.
The West Hills bank account cashed in again as redshirt freshman linebacker CODY MAXWELL has signed in with Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD.
Rounding up the latest corral of talent is KERRY GRIGSBY, a junior defensive lineman out of Patrick Henry High and Grossmont College, who will attend Concordia.
