SAN DIEGO (2-12-16) — In a Central League contest that went back and forth for most of the game, the home team Crawford Colts took advantage of a plentiful third quarter to down the Christian Patriots 70-61, Thursday (Feb. 10).
For the first half both teams changed leads as the Patriots were able to take the first quarter 19-18 and actually went on to take a slim lead into the break 30-28. Unfortunately the third quarter wasn’t so fruitful for the Patriots as the Colts were able to knock down shots and outscore them 25-13 to lead 53-43 heading into the final period.
Despite a monster game from TRAVIS BALLARD who rolled a double-double of 36 points and 16 boards, the Patriots couldn’t come back from the sustained run by Crawford as they could only get as close as two possessions.
Christian: Travis Ballard 36 (16 reb, 3 stl, 2 blk), Kyle Stowers 11 (7 reb, 6 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk), Layne Larsen 7 (2 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl), Grant Taylor 3 (2 reb, 1 stl), Jacob Sandusky 2, Daniel Welch 2 (3 reb), David Todd Jeremiah (5 reb), Dominic Bristol (3 reb, 1 ast).
