RANCHO SAN DIEGO (1-14-16) – Foothills Christian took care of business Wednesday night (Jan. 13) moving to 2-0 in Coastal League play and 10-3 overall after topping Santa Fe Christian 81-47.
The Knights got their usual double-double for UCLA bound senior TJ LEAF who poured home 28-points on 12-17 shooting from the floor, including 4-5 from three point range. Leaf finished the night with 13 rebounds as the Knights significantly limited the Eagles’ shot attempts.
Sophomore JORDAN STARR also turned in a solid performance with 12-points and 10 rebounds on the night. Starr added five assists, three blocks and two steals to the mix as well.
The Knights now turn their focus to the HoopHall Showcase this Saturday (Jan. 16) in Springfield Massachusetts. The event features teams from all over the nation including Chino Hills, Christ the King, St. Anthony, Monte Verde, Oak Hill Academy and Mater Dei.
